Layers that tell stories: my day at the Silk Museum with Bridal 360

I still vividly remember the feeling I had that day at the Silk Museum in Valencia.
My name is Eva, and I want to tell you first-hand what it was like to present my collection of capes for brides and guests at Bridal 360, 'the most exclusive event in Valencia' for those of you who are planning your wedding... or simply love to dream about it. 💫

One museum, many emotions

Just enter the Silk Museum It is already special: the floors, the looms, the history of this craft that I love... and suddenly, my hand-painted silk capes are part of that setting. I confess that my heart skipped a beat.

Bridal 360 is one of those events where they show you everything you could possibly need for your wedding, but with a very careful and exclusive touch: selected brands, well-thought-out details and an atmosphere where you can perfectly imagine yourself walking down the aisle to say "I do". And in the midst of it all... my silks.

When I read the text they used in Instagram When it came time to present my work, I was extremely excited:

“Something full of poetry has arrived. Eva Escamilla paints silk by hand and creates unique, exclusive pieces. It is the best representation of what it means to combine art and fashion. Don't miss a single detail of this collection from Ensedarte.”

Honestly, I can't think of a more beautiful way to describe what I try to do every day in the studio.

The protagonists: capes with and without hoods

The real reason for this post is the layers you see in these photos: very special pieces that I have created with brides and guests in mind who want something different, light and full of personality.

It is a unique collector's item, made made-to-measure, in hand-painted organza silk with floral motifs.
Every stroke, every leaf, every detail of colour is worked directly onto the silk, without stencils or industrial printing. What you see on the catwalk is literally paint on fabric.

One detail I love about this design is the detachable hood:

  • You can wear it with the hood for a more romantic, almost fairy-tale look, perfect for the entrance to the ceremony or for photos.
  • And you can remove the hood and wear just the cape for a cleaner, more sophisticated look, perfect for cocktails or dancing.

In the images from the fashion show, you can see both options:

  • The version hooded, which envelops the face and shoulders and opens like a silk halo when walking.
  • The version without a hood, where the cape falls from the back and floats with every step, allowing the movement to take centre stage.

See them in motion

It is one thing to have the piece hanging in the studio... and quite another to see it come to life on the catwalk.

At the Silk Museum, organza silk did exactly what I wanted it to do:

  • It moved with the air, as if the drawing were floating around the body.
  • It changed with each turn of the models, showing different nuances of the floral motifs.
  • I played with the black of the dresses, creating an elegant contrast that was also very bridal.

As I watched them parade by, all I could think was: "This is how I want my brides and guests to feel: confident, light-hearted, and completely themselves."

Art + fashion + you

I always say that Ensedarte is not just about 'clothes' or 'accessories'. It's about bringing art and fashion together, yes, but always with a specific person in mind: you.

When I design a layer like this:

  • I think about the type of wedding you are going to have (civil, religious, outdoors, in a historic venue, etc.).
  • In the light of that day and in the colours that suit you best.
  • Whether you want a more ethereal and romantic look, or a more powerful and sophisticated one.
  • And, of course, how you want to look when you look at the photos in a few years' time.

That's why I always work made-to-measure: I adjust the length, the drape, the shape of the hood, the colour range and the floral motifs so that the piece is truly yours. No two capes are alike.

If you can imagine yourself wearing a cape like this... let's talk.

If, upon seeing these photos, you have imagined yourself walking down the aisle in a hand-painted organza silk cape, with or without a hood, I would love to meet you.

At the Ensedarte studio, I work by appointment, in a calm and unhurried manner, so that I can listen to you and design your unique collector's item:

  • We can start with the design you saw at the Silk Museum,
  • or create a fully customised version for you.

Thank you for joining me on this little piece of my experience at Bridal 360.
Hopefully, the next story told by one of my capes... will be yours. 💚
