On the 26th I did a participative workshop at the Regional Museum of Torrent. On the occasion of the celebration of the Agriculture Week and for two hours I shared knowledge and stories about silk with children and adults.

Eva Escamilla and her silk workshop

From where, how it is transformed, techniques, samples...

And they each painted their own little piece of silk.

I love to spread silk knowledge, and how it roots us to our territory, where we come from.

It is a way of not forgetting and of sowing seeds so that new generations become interested and want to recover lost trades such as sericulture.

explaining Valencian silk

I didn't know this one MuseumI loved it. It is an old manor house that was donated by its owner for the use of the village. It conserves ceramics, modernist furniture and above all a platform with a montage explaining how silk was cultivated.
